Eastern Academy of Management 2015 Meeting
Authenticity for the Future 52
nd Annual Meeting May 6-9, 2015 | Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Organizations are becoming increasingly focused on authenticity as a means of responding to dynamic
market forces. In the midst of rapidly-changing technology and an ever-changing culture, organizations are challenged to be
authentic and competitive. Today’s leaders need to create conditions that support organizational and individual authenticity. How
can organizations create the structure, culture and rewards that nurture individual and organizational authenticity and remain
competitive? Are there best practices among innovative firms that can be adapted to promote greater authenticity in
organizations? How can managers and educators utilize insights from the growing literature on authenticity to promote greater
levels of effectiveness? Overall, how can firms develop authenticity strategies to compete in an increasingly challenging world?
We encourage papers and symposia to address these and other questions about authenticity in today’s organizations. We
particularly invite papers and symposia that propose or discuss new theoretical or conceptual models that help us to understand
authenticity in organizations. Be creative as you consider the relationship of your work to our conference theme. Doctoral
students, full and part-time faculty, and practitioners are encouraged to submit papers and proposals for workshops and
symposia relevant to the conference theme in any of the tracks.
